Table styles

There's no styling for tables currently (see Webdev/Beer And Tell/August2014 for an example). Some default styling would be nice. Here's some examples of table styles on other sandstone-like Mozilla sites: mobilepartners.mozilla.org and careers.mozilla.org. I think something close to MobilePartners, but with zebra striping, would be a good middle ground for the wiki's tables. mkelly (talk) 06:14, 21 August 2014 (PDT)

You can use the class "wikitable" to get some formatting. Christie Koehler (ckoehler) (talk) 07:37, 21 August 2014 (PDT)
That works, thanks! Tables created using wiki syntax don't have that class, though. Maybe we should apply it to tables and have a class for tables that want no styling instead? mkelly (talk) 07:40, 21 August 2014 (PDT)
I'm not sure what you mean that "tables created using wiki syntax don't have that class." They don't have any class automatically, no. You have to specify classes for tables created with wiki syntax. See User:Ckoehler/Table_examples for an example. Christie Koehler (ckoehler) (talk) 07:59, 21 August 2014 (PDT)
