Mozilla operates under a module ownership governance system. A Module is a discrete unit of code or activity. An Owner is the person in charge of a Module. A Peer is a person whom the Owner has appointed to help them. A Module may have multiple Owners and multiple Peers.===Who Appoints Whom===
The system is overseen by the owner or peers of the Module Ownership module. But in several areas, the ability to create, alter and destroy modules has been delegated to the owner of a "meta-module" for that area. This is true for all of the areas listed below except for Core, Activities and Other. The meta-module is the first one listed on the page. Questions about module ownership or requests for changes to modules in those last three areas should be directed to the owner or peers of the Module Ownership module.  ===The Lists=== These pages should only be updated list the owners and their peers for all Mozilla modules, broken down by one different areas of those people, or their delegatesthe project.
