Making the Question More General

Hey Mitchell, Greetings Readers,

I think that our toolbox for change is bigger than just our products and associated processes.

Should we make the question a bit more general, replacing "products and our product development processes" with "resources"?

Zak,

We have a pretty good idea of how to think about our products and technology. We're in the early stage with the broader issues. In the discussions so far I've found that the openness of the broader question is hard to answer, and yet it hinders a good discussion in the areas where we can make more progress.

So the plan is that the Foundation folks will propose an addition to the goals that relates to broader issues. That will be a beginning step, to be followed by the roadmap and vision process in early 2009. I don't think we'll have a real plan for the broader issues until some time after the product and technology pieces are done.

Citing the Mozilla Manifesto

Hi Mitchell, Greetings All,

Should we include the Mozilla Manifesto in our question? It relates very closely to the 2010 goals and provides useful context.
