I am an ICT policy analyst, novice web developer and Women Who Code(WWC) member, learning to code online and in Girl Develop It classes. I admire Mozilla and hope to be part of the developer community in order to be inspired and supported--and demanded--to keep learning. I have a few snippets on github (https://github.com/lsaine/syntax-exper) and a website for tryouts (syntaxreact.com) and now have a planned real website (k-band.us).

I started coding because I felt illiterate--and got hooked! It's so exciting to have something work and magically appear on your website! Once one of my WWC colleagues said she had worked on something so long she was weeping in frustration, and I said I got something to work and cried with happiness--so there's been a whole lot of crying going on (in a good way).

I would like to do some edits to make the path to contributing simpler for novices such as myself. I'm also a good copy editor and actually like to read the small print. (There is a tiny error on the https://wiki.mozilla.org/MozillaWiki:About page: "how are products work.") I need to edit the Mozilla Wiki to gain experience and confidence in professional web development.
