Engineering

SimplePush (jr)

• Ops load testing showing ~245K websock connection per AWS instance.
• Begin large scale testing of system
• Additional work on backend (holding push until after testing)

EU team (alexis, hannosch, tarek)

MLS (Mozilla Location Service)

• Planned travel (I'll be in SF first week of September, MV in the second week and Vancouver in the third)
• Participated in brainstorm/hack session with SF folks
• Code refactoring in preparation of splitting things into small async tasks
• Started adding Celery as async and scheduled job runner - working on testing integration and isolation
• Discussed deployment plans with deanw - and how we can make incremental progress

• Getting continuous positive feedback

Campaign Manager (jr)

• More meetings about tool. Possibly exercise over Fri/Monday.
  • Android 23 requires a permissions change, Mktg wants to communicate that out.
  • CM may get support enough to become less a hack and more a real product. (yay!)

QA

• QA team out Wed (today) after 2pm for 'mandatory fun.' Expect to not see us around this afternoon (US/Pacific time.)

Sync Server (jbonacci)

• Very important meeting on Thursday to talk about the build schedule for a Sync 1.1 Stage environment.

Persona/SignIn/BigTent (jrgm/edwong/kthiessen)

• Pushing train-2013.07.31 to production today.
• Mozilla IdP testing/deployment stalled on two blocking bugs.

SimplePush (edwong/kthiessen)

• edwong still out on paternity leave, but will be working from home TuTh for the next few weeks.
• kthiessen mostly swamped with browserid/Persona stuff, not a lot of time for SimplePush.
