With more thant 11.000 working wireless nodes guifi.net is the largest Free Network in the world. Although most of these nodes are currently spread within Catalunya, guifi.net tools and knowhow are worldwide available to make a guifi.net network cloud possible wherever in the world. These clouds are set up in a way that when they geographically collide due to their growth they automatically merge in a single big one. We want to give you a short introduction to the main concepts of Free Networks to encourage you to join the Free Network movement and to show how you can use our tools to start building your guifi.net cloud as soon as you get back home. Let's see if all together are able to make the Free Network big enough to interconnect our homes. What do you want to achieve? (goal)

To give enough information to make sure that people understand why Free Networks are necessary and to show them results guifi.net has achieved so far and what our future plans are.

Who should come? How many? For how long? (audience)

Those who want either a general approach to Free Networks concept or a short introduction to this big community project called guifi.net.

The amount of people won't be an issue. It will take about an hour.

What will they do when they get there? (activities)

Attend a short theoretical introduction to Free Networks and a practical demo of guifi.net tools to deploy them.

What will you / they have at the end? (outputs)

Maybe another thousand nodes and this time spread all over the world?
