Eml

There is a feature which is still lacking in Mozilla Thunderbird, which gives the user the ability to backup all Emails stored within its various accounts and folders. This is particularly important in regard to saving them in '.EML' format, so that they can be opened and used in other software programs. When one right clicks on an individual Email, Thunderbird gives the user the choice to 'Save As...' in the Popup menu, but this feature is then turned off when selecting multiple files. For those of us where security of information integrity and persistence, is important through the ability to make copies and in the regular backing up of important data, this vital feature is presently lacking in the current version of Thunderbird. It is therefore requested that someone would 'enable' this feature when more than one file is selected, or that an 'Export' feature within Thunderbird's File menu bar is included, so that we can secure our data. This is particularly helpful when 100's of Emails are present with Thunderbird under various accounts, and where it is too time consuming to go through them all and save them all individually as files in a specific file format, 'EML'.
