Channel Status
Beta (Fx 27)
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases/Firefox_27/Test_Plan
Aurora (Fx 28)
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases/Firefox_28/Test_Plan#Aurora
- All the features have been signed off. Currently working on bug triage and verifications.
Nightly (Fx 29)
- Aurora merge feature sign-offs should happen next week (after the merge, of course).
ESR (Fx 24.3)
- Build delayed
- Bug verification on track (thank you, Softvision) :)
- Matt PTO Thurs/Fri but still on-call and working remotely, may reach out for some help if needed
Security
- TLS 1.1/1.2 feature integrated, tested and signed off
Automation
- We are close to release Mozmill 2.0.4. Only two remaining bugs are remaining to get fixed. So a release will happen today. mozmill-automation will follow, same for mozmill-env (hopefully with conemu support).
- Crashes of cycle collector on shutdown of Firefox have been fixed today! So we shouldn't see any fallouts for 28.0 beta tests next week
- Metro UI lib is really close to its landing. Henrik has to do the final review now
Stability
- PushClipstoDT was a large part of the increased crashes in beta 27
- graphics card reset in windows makes Firefox crash. have not tracked down exact range in nightly to find out what triggers this crash more often. we may change to new version of DTD
Previous Action Items
- [DONE] Anthony to update Firefox release metrics for Fx 26
- [DROPPED] Anthony to update team on status of reaching out to Mobile QA about "effect of uplifts" - https://ashughes.com/?p=66
- did not receive any direct feedback, is discussing with mobile team still important given current dev/relman initiatives?
- [ON TRACK] - [juanb] Talk to web team (Raymond) to see if we can get news subscriptions for ** See below:
- [Craig Cook] "I'll have to do some research to determine if this is possible. The
event calendar plugin doesn't have any built-in notification functionality so we'd probably have to add some other plugin to handle email subscriptions, and then find a way to automate event reminders.
Give me a few days to dig into it and I'll let you know if it can be done and, if so, when I'll be able to work on it."
- Ideas for meeting/etherpad structure? Send them out.
Discussion Items
- Component watch - dropped in favor of higher-priority work on the aurora and nightly branches?
- #testday operator rights for Alexandra (nick: adalucinet, email: alexandra.lucinet@softvision.ro) - she is the person working most with the community and we need a secondary operator for this channel for when Ioana is on PTO
- ashughes can take care of this
- I'll help you Anthony (tracy)
- First sprint - will it start next week? If so, is there a backlog somewhere or any other documentation we should be aware of? (starting with FF30)
Notes and Actions
- [done] tracy add adalucinet and juanb to AOP list for #testday
