Summary

Fixes landing for 1.4.4

• Verified bug 579677 - Setup Finish button does nothing in SeaMonkey (openUILinkIn is not defined)
• Verified bug 585485 - "Tabs From Other Computers" missing from the the "List All Tabs" drop down on Firefox 4
• Resolved bug 583852 - Weave should not be querying on places views
• Resolved bug 583847 - Weave should be using createAsyncStatement instead of createStatement
• Verified bug 585753 - Changeset 7e8b1f7852a9 breaks bookmark sync
• Resolved bug 585963 - The setup screen will not work with a non SSL/TLS server

Test Plan

1. Sync 1.4.4 supports Minefield and Firefox 4 beta 3. maxVersion bump to 4.0b4pre
2. ListAll tab marker includes "Tabs from Other Computers"
3. Run smoketests+ on Primary OS's to ensure 1.4.4 hasn't regressed

  • Notes: Used this machine to create a rich profile, then toggled between sync'ing this and a Linux box, below.

• Linux - Ubuntu 10.4 - (juanb): Pass
  • Notes:
    • Issue 1: I tried using a pt-BR build of Fx4b3 as my client, but after installing Fx Sync, I did not see the tiny icon on the bottom right, and when I went to the add-ons manager and clicked on the Preferences I got an xml error.
    • Issue 2: When I installed in an en-US build, the Fx Sync setup window is not legible, perhaps due to the default Ubuntu theme. I have to hover over my choices to see what they say.
    • Issue 3: When you want to synchronize tabs from another machine, and you select the option from the list of tabs in the tab strip drop-down, the next time you select it, it's empty. You have to refresh the "Tabs from other computers" tab to see the tabs again.
    • Issue 4: If you ctrl-h in machine A, and delte all history, and then sync, when you sync in machine B, machine B still has its own history. It's not deleted. Since you just sync'd machine B, machine A should have some history, but it doesn't. It looks like a known problem

  • Notes: there was an issue that more than one Tabs from other Computers appeared in ListTab. Unsure what it was, possibly syncing local option. Need to retest.

  • "Bookmark this Tab" from about:sync-tabs context menu doesnt work. Known issue since 1.4
