; Alpha: Multiple bugs and known issues emerge in the Alpha stage. In Alpha, users should not expect full functionality. There are typically multiple Alpha releases before the software is resilient and robust enough to move to Beta.
; Beta: Bugs and known issues have been identified and continue to be resolved. In Beta, the project focus moves towards polish and enhancements around UI and performance. There are typically multiple Beta releases before the software is performing exceptionally for the user, with no major bugs.
