I was the first ever Web Manager for both the Economic & Social Research Council [ESRC] and then a couple of years later the same again at JISC.ac.uk.

I was organiser of the Be Bettr conference and a volunteer blogger at the first Mozilla Festival.

I try to promote the 'open web' as much as possible in my work including previously working with Creative Commons and WikiMedia UK on projects.

I held various roles at JISC over the course of almost seven years and as well as ESRC I have also worked for HEFCE and Becta in a variety of digital related roles. I also spent a year working for Jiva Technology, a start-up in Bristol as a Product Manager working on Beanbag Learning and Tutorhub.
