== Work Week Jam Session ==

The idea is to have a selection of musical equipment available in a room during the work week. Mozillians who play instruments can come down get together with other musicians and either Jam something or work on a specific tune whether it's original material or a cover. We'd be looking for singers, guitarists, bassists, drummers etc.

The idea is that we'd rehearse during downtime in the evenings so that we could play a set at the end of the week.

Before we get this idea off the ground the first part of this is finding out if people are interested in doing this and if there is enough interest from Mozilla musicians.

Did you know that the estimated 500,000 mobile devices discarded daily can have another life improving someone's life?

[http://medicmobile.org/ Medic Mobile], a not-for-profit that seeks to advance healthcare in 16 countries with mobile technology (their app in the Firefox Marketplace here: https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/medic-mobile) recycles any type of mobile device through their Hope Phones program (https://hopephones.org/) to fund public health program around the world.

They need your help. '''Let's collect 1,000 old phones to the Mozilla offsite''' to empower health workers and improve the lives of many more. Bring your old Blackberry, StarTac, Chocolate, Galaxy or anonymous device to Portland and help us show that Mozilla cares. We'll have collections points around the offsite for easy drop-off.
