Overview
We are the Firefox Desktop Retention Durable Team (AKA FDR Durable Team and Team Roosevelt). Our goal is create a cohesive experience for users downloading Firefox, improve our understanding of what keeps users using Firefox over other web browsers, and create a new process for testing onboarding.
Key Initiatives & Deliverables
- Overhaul Firefox desktop new user onboarding
- Create assets for aligning content on the download page, installer, migration tool, and first run onboarding experiences.
- Create content strategy and test plan for "later run" Firefox desktop experiment. (future sessions after first run)
- Improve understanding of Firefox desktop user retention
- Deploy retention test with 3 variations to understand the impact of Firefox vs Mozilla content on first run and about:home.
