The Test

  • Spot test that updates work for the following scenerios:
    • 1.5.0 -> 1.5.0.3
    • 1.5.0.1 -> 1.5.0.3
    • 1.5.0.2 -> 1.5.0.3 (this testing is already completed, please see [1])
    • Additional testing done by marcia [2]
    • Simple update/launch test
    • downloading was already tested
  • Use betatest and releasetest channels
  • Platforms:
    • win32
    • linux
    • Mac PPC -> Mac PPC, and
    • Mac UB -> Mac UB <<== new for 1.5.0.3. Needs extra testing!!
  • Cycle through the platforms you have available.
  • Generally I am shifting platforms from the last test to this test in this way:
    • Linux -> Mac UB
    • Mac (PPC) -> Win
    • Win -> Linux
    • new locales -> Mac PPC
