Test Plan

This will be the central linking point for the Test Plan for the Android Stumbler efforts. Please link from here to test plans, etherpads, Wiki pages, or other resources which we can distill into a working test plan for the stumbler app.

Call to Action

Toby Elliot's Cloud Services group has been put in charge of getting an improved version of our Android-only "stumbler" (https://github.com/mozilla/MozStumbler) application out to community groups to improve the coverage of Mozilla Location Services. We hope to have this application in community hands in about 4-5 weeks, i.e. around the beginning of November, 2014.

What we need before then is enough testing to make sure that the app will not fall over and die when put into the community's hands. We are going to need as much help as we can get to meet that goal.

Please feel free to show this page to folks who might have a bit of time to throw at this, or who might have useful test cases to put in the test plan -- please feel free to link to test cases and documents in the Test Plan section above. A meeting will be arranged for the week of 2014-09-22 so that we can sort out who has time and interest to help get this done -- please either email kthiessen@mozilla.com or add your name to this Wiki page to be added to the invite. (Volunteer community members are heartily encouraged to get involved, but should already have an Android phone.)

Thanks in advance for your help -- this is a very exciting chance to enable some of our most enthusiastic communities to do very necessary and helpful work.
