We're wanting to turn off Treeherder bot bug comments on intermittent failure bugs (and replace them with periodic summary comments/longer term a better OrangeFactor) - a newsgroup post will be sent out soon asking the same, but if you know of any workflows that need alternatives before this can happen - please comment in bug 1179308. (A few have already been identified, see here).
