Overview

This page has been created to aggregate details/pointers/info related to the Spreadfirefox.com website which will aid in testing and will help newbies quickly ramp up.


User Roles

Spreadfirefox.com has many user roles with varying privileges.Listed below are the user roles:

1.Vanguard 2.Administrator 3.Editor 4.Developer 5.Default user

(Each group inherits permissions from the groups below)

Vanguard Vanguard roles can be assigned all access privileges so functions like like the administrator account (uid=1)

Anonymous users are people who are not logged in.

Anonymous users can:
* View articles in the Knowledge base, Administration, How to
contribute, and Live Chat documentation categories
* Post to the Firefox forum
* Submit article feedback.
* Vote on article feedback polls


Administrator

Administrators have all access privileges with the exception of 'administer

access control' so they can do everything except change site configuration settings


Editor

Need some clarification regarding this role.


Developer

This role allows access to developer tools (need only be setup on stage)

Default(logged in) user

  • View project homepage
  • View details of subscribed projects
  • Join/Leave projects
  • Create projects
  • Create Discussion topics,Events and Forums to subscribed projects
  • Send/receive Private messages
  • Add comments to public content(like projects,forum etc)
  • View/edit Profile information
  • View/edit Notifications
