One important thing to enhance in toolbars is to have buttons for every menu selection. These buttons should be dynamically created at run time, to reflect new menu items that may be added.

As well, a means for extensions to easily create buttons (an API) would be very worthwhile.

Any externally added extentions should be noticed by the browser and brought to the user's attention, and not allowed to do anything until given permission by the user. (I dislike uninvited toobars,etc with a passion!)
