Gecko 1.9 Plugin Improvements

We are hoping to make 3 major improvements to the Mac OS X plugin architecture in Gecko 1.9:

  • 344425 - support NP_GetEntryPoints as a way to get plugin function pointers instead of calling "main()"
  • 336060 - use a slower idleEvent timer for plugins that are not in a foreground tab on the key window
  • 344427 Support 64-bit Mac OS X NPAPI, as proposed on the plugin-futures mailing list. Significant changes include the option to render via CoreGraphics (QuickDraw will no longer be the only option) and updated native event structures.
