- Thunderbird Support Forums on Get Satisfaction - monitored by Mozilla Messaging employees with support primarily done by a community of volunteers
- #thunderbird - IRC channel on irc.mozilla.org - informal and real time, but not monitored by employees, and support is better on weekdays
