  • Ops continues load testing of latest version
    • Results look very promising.
  • Some design requests regarding v.2.0 of API suggested by customer. They feel strangely familiar.

Loads

MLS (Mozilla Location Service)

  • Finished adding celery and proper isolated testing harness
  • Deployed celery and celery beat to the server, successfully ran a couple of scheduled and manually triggered tasks
  • Created async tasks for statistics gathering - daily histogram of five metrics
  • Switch /stats to use new async stats data and add more graphs
  • Update leaderboard to omit tokens
  • Redeploy code to bigger server with 2 cores to actually run stuff in parallel
  • Updated Amazon RDS instances to cope with large bulk migration load, managed to wreak havoc to read-replica and had to recreate one

  • Actual use of Campaign manager this week
  • Need to push out new version to track sends/clicks (or collect logs)
    • or tie to a heka dashboard if available.

QA

Sync Server (jbonacci)

  • After last week's meeting it was decided that there would be no further Stage/testing work done for Sync Server 1.1. All focus will be on "new" Sync.
  • We can remove this Section from the meeting template.

Persona/SignIn/BigTent (jrgm/edwong/kthiessen)

  • browserid train-2013.08.15 heading to production this week.
  • Security improvements to Mozilla IdP should allow for longer session lengths.

  • Authentication API work is starting to stabilize finally.
  • Development work continues on a browser-based desktop auth flow.
  • Development work continues on a more-native Android auth flow.
  • QA tracking and test planning continues
  • API Test Suite and Loads testing work is in progress...

  • Tarek using edwong's load tests to tune the Loads cluster.
