Brainstorming for the Balkans:2010 event

Name

Location

• Ohrid, Macedonia - By the Ohrid lake, famous tourist destination and a city of UNESCO. Connected by a mayor highway, bus lines and an airport(yet I think there are almost no flights to Ohrid)(If people land in Skopje and need to get to Ohrid, that may well be a big journey. Taxi - Bus - Taxi). Map

• Skopje, Macedonia - The reserve location, if transpiration to Ohrid is poor.

• What about Nis/Ниш? (Bogo)

Goals

• To get people on the Balkans more excited about contributing to Mozilla, the Open Source project and the Open Web in the whole.
• To let fellow contributors meet each-other and exchange ideas.

Attendees

Open event like FOSDEM Need to get list of Mozilla Contributors that are comming

Timing

• Date: End of May, Early June maybe?
• Duration: 1-2 Days, probably Saturday-Sunday

Camp Location

There are a couple of hotels in the center of the city, and some further away on the shore. I prefer the city center as it's closer to everything.

An hour of lightning talks will come in handy ;)

Fun

Jovanovski: I had the idea of doing some sort of tattoo beach party Saturday night at a beach club, because we have I had a bunch of tattoos left.

Budget

Jovanovski: Give me the green light, and I'll look up hotels, prices, do bargains for massive booking and so on.
