• Focus: searching from the homepage [2010-10-21]
  • Tested to users. They were told only to search from the SUMO home page to find articles. These were the prompts:
    • You've just visited a site that has told you that you need to enable cookies in order for it to work. You want to find out how to do that.
    • You are watching a video and it disappears and is replaced with a message that says the adobe flash plugin has crashed. You want to find out what you can do about that.
    • You have a zillion bookmarks and want to learn how you can organize them.
    • You want to know how you can change your home page to something other than the default firefox/google search.
    • You want to remove the list of websites that show up when you click on the history menu.
    • You've just downloaded a few things (pictures and videos) and you don't know where they were saved.
    • A friend told you you should update your flash plugin. You need to figure out how to do that.
  • I'll post interesting parts of the tests along with a summary for the SUMO meeting on [2010-10-25]
