What went well
- 2 respondents took time to offer extra feedback in private emails
- both seemed open or potentially open to contributing more going forward
Things we can improve
- We didn't leave a general comment space in the survey
- Had overlapping "Code & Reviews" and "Development" as primary contribution areas
- After noticing the overlap, forgot to coalesce them in parts of my analysis until it was pointed out.
- Find some good ways to phrase questions that motivate people to be explicit about what they like in their own words, so that readers don't feel overwhelmed by the selection bias towards negative words.
