Mac

On a mac, login via VNC and open "System Preferences" on the apple menu. Go to "Display" and check that you see "a lot" of display resolutions rather than "a few".

Windows 7

Windows 7 machines do not have dongles!

Window XP

Neither do WinXP machines!
