This is a procedure used to create bl-bldlnx03, the Linux performance test machine for trunk.

Install Fedora Core 6 from CDs

While installing, select a custom installation; the following categories were selected.

  • Desktops
    • X Window system
    • GNOME Desktop Environment
  • Applications
    • Editors
    • Text-based interne
  • Development
    • Development Tools
    • X Software Development
    • GNOME Software Development
    • Legacy Software Development
  • Servers
    • Turn all off
  • System
    • Printing Support
    • Under System Tools
      • screen
      • vnc
