Web Made Movies - Creative Technology Lead

As the Creative Technology Lead for the Web Made Movies project, you will be involved in both experiments and user-facing productions that apply open technologies to moving images.

Collaborating with the Web Made Movies community, you will develop the popcorn.js JavaScript library, improve the Butter authoring system, work with other creators on “one-off” HTML5 sites, and collaborate with partner organizations who have teamed with Mozilla to use our technology. You will bring thought leadership and expertise that will guide the direction of the project.

You'll be a fundamental part of realizing the goal of Web Made Movies: making moving images behave more like the web. We want to create the conditions were video can be more interoperable, intertextual, transparent, and hackable. Where closed technologies are limiting innovation in the web video space, we will drive change in the industry by creating productions and technology that show how open can win.
