Joint Meeting Notes

• Attendees:
• Localization Hackathon in Paris
  • Went well, but was a bit messy to move around 30 people.
  • People needed a place to discuss their workflow & community building for their locales. Hackathon was a great way to satisfy that need.
    • Some noteworthy thoughts:
      • Systems that invest in community's professional development
        • Would free digital subscriptions to MultiLingual Mag work?
        • TRIBE for community?
        • Could we create a list of available resources for recognition? Ideas: Coursera, MultiLingual mag, Rosetta Stone, Udacity, etc.
      • Some concern around mozilla's investment in promoting their language.
    • Localizers want us to do more for their locales.
    • Need to have a deeper discussion about what makes localizers happy and how do we adapt l10n at Mozilla to continue to help
• Next week meeting
• L10n hackathons in 2017
• L10n-driver strengths
• CMS discussion with other companies (clients)

• Update work-in-progress branch of Transvision to use compare-locales 1.2
• Expose Test Pilot in WebStatus, add support for l20n files

• Transvision: updated productization script to extract data from shared locales/searchplugins
• Switched WebStatus to compare-locales from parsing .properties
• Added basic supported for l20n files (Test Pilot) to WebStatus. Still not available in production.
• Merged code update for Firefox Health Report, send email to dev-l10n about testing.
• Attended the Paris Hackathon

• Meet with :littledan to discuss Intl.Locale / extension keys / OS prefs in ECMA402
• Write a mochi test for MessageContext
• Decide what to do with OS() builtin (bug 1292127)
• Fix a bunch of mac-os specific bugs on l20n branch of Firefox
• Fix bc7 mochitest in larch
• Apply new naming scheme for L20n

• Unicode Conference
• Revision of Intl.getDisplayNames for HTML5 forms
• Got :waldo to review Intl.PluralRules
• Tons of perf. talos tests and experiments with :smaug and :bholley on L20n to help with the document for TAG
• Wrote a bunch of xpcshell tests for L10nRegistry and IntlMessageContext
