WebFWD Needs You: How you can participate in Open Source innovation

Speaker(s): Havi Hoffman Proposed Track : Community Building & Collaboration/Product & Tech

Summary: An Introduction to WebFWD and How You Can Participate - Mozilla's new open innovation program seeks entrepreneurial Open Source projects aligned with our goals and mission. We mentor and sustain WebFWD projects around the world. WebFWD Fellows are small teams with Minimum Viable Products (MVP) that have already started writing and releasing code. Through mentorship, weekly meetings and conversations, technical guidance, educational resources, and periodic events like hack days and summits, our goal is to push the Web forward and extend Mozilla's commitment to openness, accessibility, and innovation, de todos para todos.

We are also looking for WebFWD Scouts from around the world, who can be our eyes and ears in their local tech communities, identifying interesting potential projects and helping raise awareness of WebFWD via blog posts, conversations, talks at meetups and conferences, etc. Come with your questions and learn how you can push the WebFWD.
