 The space bar performs a rather useless function in Firefox - it does exactly the same as the down arrow! The spacebar performs a pan function in image/document viewers/editors such as Photoshop, Adobe Reader, GIMP, Windows Photo Viewer etc. Why can't we make the spacebar pan in Firefox as it does in other image viewers? IMO the GIMP implementation is the best because it does not require a click of the mouse button.
