I like tabs on top - it makes sense to include the address bar etc. as part of the tab. It gives the tabs more prominence, and conserves screen real-estate - vital for netbook users like me. If Firefox made no changes to the user experience, so as not to rock-the-boat for existing users, we wouldn't have tabbed browsing in the first place.
