Tracks
The L10n tracks and QA tracks will consist of sessions/workshops/brainstormings/lightning talks all related to localization and quality assurance.
The DEV tracks will encompass lots of different sub-areas (eg. Firefox, Thunderbird, Fennec; Add-ons, Labs etc..).
To define the DEV tracks topics and their format, "track leaders" have been identified and have been asked to brainstorm with their teams and active members of the Mozilla community on topics they would like to tackle and the participants they would like to invite.
Since the conference is, logistically speaking, just around the corner, it is important that all track leaders get back to Mozilla Europe by August 25th with their session suggestions and a list of up to 15 people they think Mozilla Europe should invite and suggested topics for your tracks.
- Identified "Track leaders" :
- L10n: Seth Bindernagel
- QA: Marcia Knous
- Add-ons: Basil Hashem
- Messaging : David Ascher
- Firefox architecture : Mike Connor
- Mozilla Labs : Chris Beard
- Mobile : Christian Sejersen

All "track leaders" are asked to submit a list of people from their teams and members of the Mozilla community have suggested to them as relevant to the conference and whom they would like Mozilla Europe to invite for their sessions. We do expect there will be the extra possibilty to open the event up to a wider audience. As soon as we have more information on this, we'll post more on numbers and next steps to register interest.
Please send your list of suggested participants to William (wquiviger at mozilla dot com) detailing clearly the area of interest of the person as well as the tracks he/she would likely participate in.
Venue
The 2 day conference will be held just outside Barcelona (see map, at the CitiLab. You can go on a very cool virtual tour of the venue here.
Flights and Accomodation
All travel and accomodation for invited participants will be covered by Mozilla Europe. All participants will be asked to contact a designated travel agent via email to book his/her flights and hotel.
Getting around in Barcelona
The best way to move around Barcelona is the public transport. You can buy a T10 public transport ticket for 10 journeys. It is valid for different zones. You need to buy it only for 1 zone. It is 6,90€. You can by them on Metro and Train stations (not on busses!). You can by them in some banks also.
Each journey allows you to take as many different public transports (metro, tram, bus and train) within a zone for 75 minutes. However, you need to get your ticket thru the machine every time you change of transport.
For taxis, minimum charge of 3,50€ or so plus distance. From Barcelona center to the Citilab it might cost you some 15€. Taxis are more expensive during night time.
