Priority Field

  • P1 - A "must have" for the release. Considered a blocker.
  • P2 - A "should have" for the release. This is not considered a blocker, but strongly recommended.
  • P3 - A "nice to have" for the release. This is not considered a blocker and can easily move back to future releases.

Severity

  • blocker - ISE,404; Basically, the application is down. A blocker.
  • critical - A user is unable to complete a smoketest level action while running tests. A blocker for release.
  • major - A user is unable to complete a smoketest level while managing testcases/tests suites/test runs/test cycles. Blocking status is up for discussion, but usually blocks.
  • normal - A user is unable to complete a basic functionality of any feature in the TCM. This does not block the release.
  • minor - A user is unable to complete a full functional action of any feature in the TCM. Not a blocker.
  • trivial - A general polish bug that does not block any action performed in the TCM. Not a blocker.
  • enhancement - A feature request. Blocking status is dependent on its priority.
