Current options for managing add-ons installed by third parties and system administrators are limited. We allow disabling but not uninstalling. These add-ons are still in the way and users do not want to see them anymore. We should allow uninstalling these add-ons in some way.

  • Module owner: Mossop
  • Available reviewers: Mossop, Unfocused, rs

Status

Goals

  • The remove button for third-party add-ons should appear to work the same as for normal add-ons
  • Available Add-ons should include hidden third party add-ons on the system

Non-Goals

  • Support removing other applications on the system from within Firefox
