	We're building out the public beta version of the Open Badge Infrastructure due end of March 2012.

Delivery Timeline

• Ship OBI public beta by end of Q1 (*aiming for end of Q1 but may have issues with legal that push into Q2)

Beta Features

The Beta release came in two parts, on March 1st, during the DML conference in San Francisco, an initial private beta was launched that showcased the new Issuer API, a functioning Backpack, and a basic Displayer view. The full public beta will add several enhancements to the DML-launched private beta:

• Improved UI for Issuer API
• Improved UI for Backpack
• A Displayer API that will allow for build out of widgets, including a demo widget that will allow embedding of a public backpack group on a perosnal site

• Contributor engagement workflow improvement (Getting developer community to tap into OBI with facility)
• First party signing of badge manifest
• New issuer API - requiring user-initiated push to the OBI
• Displayer API
