Recontextualize a story by adding additional information and attributing sources.

Step 1: Find a video clip you would like to recontextualize. Write a script for the additional information you would like to add in. How can extra information change the story being told in the video? Plan out how you envision the remix.

Step 2: Open Popcorn Maker in your browser

Step 3: Click "Get Started" and choose the Context template

Step 4: Click the Edit Source button in the upper left-hand corner of the video and change the URL to the URL of the video you'll be commenting on.

Step 5: Change the Title of the template to a title that says something about your remix. Add biographical information to the subtitle box.

Step 6: Drag and drop a text event to the Timeline. Double click to change the text and choose a target that will always contain the text events. Do the same with footnotes and images.

Step 7: Continue adding events to the timeline, specifying which target holds each element.

Step 8: Add attribution for the images and/or the video by dragging and dropping attribution events to the Timeline.

Step 9: Share with the world. Share your video link widely.

Step 10: Iterate your project based on feedback you receive.
