[11:32]	<ctalbert>	*** Okay, let's start the QA Chat ***
[11:32]	<ctalbert>	http://wiki.mozilla.org/Calendar:Current_QA_Chat
[11:32]	<mschroeder>	ctalbert: I probably won't be at the F2F meeting. :(
[11:33]	<ctalbert>	That's not good. I had hoped to meet you. You don't live in
Berlin by any chance do you?
[11:33]	* ctalbert	is going to berlin before the meeting
[11:33]	<mschroeder>	ctalbert: no
[11:33]	<firebot>	lilmatt@flock.com granted first-review for attachment 261292
 on bug 375509.
[11:33]	<firebot>	Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375509 nor,
--, ---, ctalbert.moz@gmail.com, NEW, No 'Add To Calendar' button in TB 1.5 when
 I get a mail with a attached *.ics-file
[11:34]	<ctalbert>	But that's not the end of the world either. We're going to
set up conference calls for people who can't make the F2F meeting, so maybe you
can dial in to sessions that interest you.
[11:35]	<ctalbert>	In that regard, here is the link to the F2F meeting site:
http://wiki.mozilla.org/Calendar:Hamburg_F2F_Meeting
[11:35]	<ctalbert>	It has the agenda (which I will be updating today - at least
my part of it). And so perhaps folks can adjust their schedules so that they can
call into parts of the meeting that interest them.
[11:36]	<Sebo>	ctalbert: will you be in Berlin on Saturday?
[11:36]	<ctalbert>	I will be in Berlin on Friday
[11:36]	<ctalbert>	I plan to spend the day in Berlin, seeing Kanut and what not ;-)
[11:37]	* ctalbert	's wife wants a kanut T-shirt
[11:37]	<Sebo>	You mean Knut?!
[11:37]	<ctalbert>	Yes
[11:37]	<mschroeder>	It's Knut.
[11:37]	<ctalbert>	My spelling of German is even worse than my speaking.
[11:38]	<Sebo>	funny, this news is going around the world
[11:38]	<ctalbert>	:-)
[11:38]	<ssitter>	yeah, "Come and visit Germany the place where the polar bears live"
[11:38]	<ctalbert>	lol
[11:39]	-->|	sous (chatzilla@moz-5DE64475.dip.t-dialin.net) has joined #calendar-qa
[11:39]	=-=	sous is now known as ulf
[11:40]	<ctalbert>	So, yeah, so if any of you who can't make the Face to Face meeting
can be in Berlin next Friday, perhaps I can meet you for lunch or something.
[11:40]	<ctalbert>	On to other topics...we had a great test day on Tuesday. I was
very impressed by the high turnout we had.
[11:41]	<ctalbert>	Especially given the late notice.
[11:41]	<ctalbert>	We found 7 bugs, 2 were dupes.
[11:41]	<ctalbert>	Ran 138 test cases, 10 of which failed, and are waiting to be
filed as bugs.
[11:42]	<ctalbert>	The winner of the test day was Andreas, so congratulations to him.
[11:43]	<ulf>	wow
[11:43]	<ctalbert>	He found a really good bug with the WCAP stuff.
[11:43]	<ctalbert>	I seemed to have misplaced the number....
[11:44]	<ctalbert>	Next week will be another test day. I don't know how available
I'll be to help out on that one. We'll have to see how things go that day.
[11:45]	<ctalbert>	Any other thoughts on the test day?
[11:45]	<ctalbert>	On to the QA Discussion Needed Bugs: http://tinyurl.com/yhwge4
[11:45]	<ctalbert>	bug 353887 is first
[11:45]	<firebot>	ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353887
nor, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, NEW, Calendar Internal Code has errors when
calculating recurrences with all-day and non-allday items
[11:47]	<ctalbert>	I set this. I'll see if I can clearly delinate the failure modes
of this so we can compose a good release note about it. At this point, I don't think
we'd take a solution for this even if it were right in front of us.
[11:47]	<ctalbert>	bug 366860 is next
[11:47]	<firebot>	ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=366860
nor, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, NEW, error when creating remote calendar
[11:48]	<ctalbert>	I agree with bbbrowning, I think we can make this WFM now since
the new errors are in place.
[11:49]	<mschroeder>	agreed
[11:49]	<ssitter>	me too
[11:49]	<ctalbert>	bug 283497 is next
[11:49]	<firebot>	ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283497
nor, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, UNCO, calendar should use the toolkit's datetimepicker controls
[11:49]	<firebot>	ctalbert.moz@gmail.com set the Resolution field on bug 366860 to
 WORKSFORME.
[11:50]	<ctalbert>	mschroeder: What is your thought about 283497?
[11:50]	<ctalbert>	oh this should be confirmed.
[11:51]	* Sebo	got a call home
[11:51]	|<--	Sebo has left irc.mozilla.org (Quit: ChatZilla 0.9.78.1 [Firefox
2.0.0.4pre/2007041003])
[11:51]	<ctalbert>	Seems like this should also depend on the JSDate issues with
the datepicker in the event dialog too.
[11:52]	<ssitter>	aren't the toolkit controls trunk only?
[11:52]	<ctalbert>	I don't know.
[11:52]	<mschroeder>	i think so
[11:53]	<ssitter>	that would mean we might switch once we no longer support
Thunderbird 1.5 or 2
[11:53]	<ctalbert>	So, then this would be a very "in the future" sort of bug.
[11:53]	<ssitter>	and fix all the jsdate-timezone-issues
[11:53]	<ssitter>	i think so
[11:54]	<ctalbert>	Ok. I'll add that to a comment and confirm it. It's something
we should do....one day.
[11:55]	<ctalbert>	bug 300470 is next
[11:55]	<firebot>	ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=300470
cri, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, UNCO, published calendar events randomly dissappear.
No valid reason and no info in log files
[11:56]	<ctalbert>	We've heard nothing since March on it. I think we can safely set
this one to WFM
[11:58]	<mschroeder>	agreed
[11:58]	<firebot>	ctalbert.moz@gmail.com set the Resolution field on bug 300470 to WORKSFORME.
[11:58]	<ctalbert>	next is bug 371753
[11:58]	<firebot>	ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371753
nor, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, UNCO, Url Authentication
[11:59]	* ctalbert	remembers discussing this last time with Bruno.
[12:00]	<ctalbert>	He said that it was basically the same as bug 329570
[12:00]	<firebot>	ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329570
maj, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, NEW, concurrent editing ICS & CalDAV calendars by
multiple users can lose data
[12:02]	<ctalbert>	ACtually to me, it sounds more like bug 247486
[12:02]	<firebot>	ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=247486
maj, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, UNCO, can't load several calendars with different
passwords on same server
[12:03]	<mschroeder>	i also think this sounds like 247486
[12:03]	<ctalbert>	I think Lionel believes there is a bug because if you unsubscribe
from calendar 2 and then resubscribe to it, it doesn't re-ask you for the authentication. But that's probably because the authentication is cached.
[12:05]	<ctalbert>	I think I'll mark it as a possible dupe, and we'll see if we can
get Lionel to agree to that. (otherwise, he'll reopen it).
[12:05]	<ctalbert>	bug 357151 is next
[12:05]	<firebot>	ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357151
nor, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, UNCO, event window does not open
[12:07]	<ctalbert>	this is our OS/2 bug
[12:08]	<ctalbert>	It seems that Joey thinks it should be fixed.
[12:08]	<ssitter>	looks like a recent OS/2 build is required for retest
[12:08]	<ctalbert>	yes. We need to somehow create one of those. It would be unfortunate
if we had to release 0.5 first in order to retest this bug
[12:09]	<ctalbert>	ssitter: Do we create OS/2 builds for our release candidates?
[12:09]	<ssitter>	afaik we only do win/linux/mac builds
[12:09]	* ctalbert	only remembers linux, win and mac
[12:09]	<ctalbert>	yeah, that's what I thought. Ok. We'll leave this one for now.
I'll ask lilmatt about it.
[12:10]	<ctalbert>	bug 333717 is up next
[12:10]	<firebot>	ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=333717
maj, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, REOP, Timezone information lost, causing wrong
results from recurrence rules
[12:11]	<ctalbert>	0.3a1+?
[12:11]	<ctalbert>	I also haven't been looking at trunk builds recently, evidently
[12:12]	<ssitter>	for 0.3 there are some OS/2 builds in contrib/ made by Peter Weilbacher
[12:12]	<ctalbert>	Maybe we can have him do a 0.5pre build for us. I think he commented
in that bug.
[12:13]	<ctalbert>	yeah, he did. It's now after Easter, I'll ping him. Maybe he has
time.
[12:15]	<ctalbert>	Bug 333717 is an old bug,and hasn't been touched since Dan's
last comment that "this bug should be marked fixed"
[12:15]	<ssitter>	from a very quick glance at the comments it seems that 333717
should be set back to fixed
[12:16]	<ctalbert>	I think so. I'm going to set it back. I think the new draft of
the 2445 spec addresses some of these DATE fields with TZID issues too...
[12:16]	<ssitter>	you probably can ping daniel about that since he reopened the bug
[12:18]	<ctalbert>	oops.
[12:18]	<firebot>	ctalbert.moz@gmail.com set the Resolution field on bug 333717
to FIXED.
[12:18]	-->|	bvdbos (chatzilla@moz-5D7BB5AB.upc-c.chello.nl) has joined #calendar-qa
[12:18]	<ctalbert>	I'll make a note to ask him about it.
[12:18]	<ctalbert>	Bug 376639 is next
[12:18]	<firebot>	ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376639
nor, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, NEW, WebDAV Displaying events from the same local
 and remote calendars
[12:19]	<ctalbert>	easy. I think we should dupe against 363441, as ssitter and Omar
 discussed.
[12:19]	<mschroeder>	+1
[12:20]	<bvdbos>	I've seen this one yesterday too in antoher bug
[12:20]	<ctalbert>	Next is bug 372879
[12:20]	<firebot>	ctalbert.moz@gmail.com set the Resolution field on bug 376639
to DUPLICATE of bug 363441.
[12:20]	<firebot>	Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363441 maj, --,
---, nobody@mozilla.org, NEW, Same item from different calendars
[12:20]	<firebot>	ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372879
nor, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, UNCO, Tasks sort incorrectly if a Due Date is blank
[12:22]	<ctalbert>	So, it sounds like sorting is working as designed.
[12:22]	<mschroeder>	I think, it can be closed. The sorting behavior is correct.
[12:22]	<bvdbos>	let lillmat and ssitter discuss this :-)
[12:22]	<ssitter>	either wontfix or needs UI-discussion by drivers instead
[12:23]	<ssitter>	let's close it and discuss the remaining stuff in 377041
[12:23]	<ctalbert>	sounds like a plan
[12:24]	<mschroeder>	agreed
[12:25]	<firebot>	ctalbert.moz@gmail.com set the Resolution field on bug 372879
to WONTFIX.
[12:25]	<ctalbert>	bug 375722 is the last one
[12:25]	<firebot>	ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375722
maj, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, UNCO, Calendar Fails on 'Subscribe' and insists on
 'read-only'
[12:25]	<ssitter>	invalid
[12:26]	<mschroeder>	maybe the todo/task panel in Sunbird & Lightning will be
unified sometime. that's the right time for a decision on sorting.
[12:26]	<ctalbert>	ah, ssitter, I agree
[12:26]	<ssitter>	(like all the other bugs regarding missing tz information)
[12:26]	<mschroeder>	+1
[12:26]	<bvdbos>	+1
[12:27]	<firebot>	ctalbert.moz@gmail.com set the Resolution field on bug 375722
to INVALID.
[12:27]	<ssitter>	we might file a followup bug for ics calendar to show the same
'readable' error message as the ics importer
[12:27]	<ssitter>	(for missing timezones)
[12:28]	* ctalbert	notes to do that.
[12:28]	<ctalbert>	Are there any other bugs that folks would like to discuss?
[12:28]	<bvdbos>	localization of lightning?
[12:29]	<ssitter>	not a bug but I just noted that the qawanted list is grown very
 much
[12:30]	<ctalbert>	ssitter: It has indeed. I've been encouraging people to try to
test some of that stuff and clear it if they can. I hope to be able to work on it
some this afternoon once I finish some of my dev responsibilities
[12:30]	<ssitter>	bvdbos: localization of lightning is possible - it just has to
be done manually for each release
[12:30]	<ctalbert>	bvdbos: I'm currently trying to reproduce it.
[12:30]	<ctalbert>	ssitter: he means bug 356269
[12:30]	<firebot>	ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356269
maj, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, NEW, localization will not work Lightning are always english
[12:30]	<ssitter>	or better: the packaging of all locales into one xpi has to be
done manually
[12:31]	<ctalbert>	at least, I think he does....
[12:31]	<bvdbos>	yep :-)
[12:31]	<mschroeder>	Bug 277941 has a WFM comment from bvdbos
[12:31]	<firebot>	mschroeder: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=277941
nor, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, UNCO, FTP password pops up every time I make an
addition to my calendar.
[12:31]	<ssitter>	than take that as response to the newsgroup post regarding that
bug ;)
[12:32]	<bvdbos>	I will... I have no problems with ftp anymore
[12:32]	<ctalbert>	I'll mark 277941 as WFM then.
[12:32]	<bvdbos>	ok
[12:33]	<ssitter>	nightrat used to builds some lightning language packs some time
ago but I did not see him for a long time
[12:33]	<ctalbert>	I haven't either.
[12:33]	<firebot>	ctalbert.moz@gmail.com set the Resolution field on bug 277941 to
 WORKSFORME.
[12:34]	<bvdbos>	372132 also WFM?
[12:34]	<ctalbert>	bvdbos: My approach so far is to see if I can recreate the behavior
using lightning 0.3.1 and tbird netherlands. I was working on it before the meeting,
I'll let you know what I find.
[12:34]	<ssitter>	firebot: bug 372132
[12:34]	<firebot>	ssitter: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372132
nor, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, UNCO, error on fresh install. no calendar update.
[12:34]	<bvdbos>	haven't heard from reporter
[12:35]	<mschroeder>	I would say INVALID
[12:35]	<bvdbos>	ok for me... as long as qa-wanted also shrinks
[12:35]	<mschroeder>	or NEEDSINFO ;)
[12:36]	<ctalbert>	heh. That error code: 0x804b0012. Is also reported in 314594,
188059, and 350703
[12:36]	<ssitter>	ctalbert, bvdbos: if you test the localized lightning check the
labels (today, soon) in the agenda - once I saw that this part was translated (the
text set by javascript) while the rest (the text in xul) remained in wrong locale.
removing xul cache fixed this as already noted in the bug
[12:37]	<bvdbos>	ssitter: of course I tried this too :-)
[12:38]	<ctalbert>	I think that bug 372132 is essentially an "invalid URL bug".
[12:38]	<ctalbert>	Given that the other bugs that have that error code refer to invalid
 URLs
[12:39]	<firebot>	mschroeder@mozilla.x-home.org set the Resolution field on bug 372132
 to INVALID.
[12:39]	<bvdbos>	agreed...
[12:39]	<ssitter>	the error message in that bug is Bug 352005 that was fixed later
[12:39]	<firebot>	ssitter: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352005
maj, --, Sunbird 0.5, lilmatt@flock.com, VERI FIXED, Sunbird doesn't include view source support
[12:39]	<mschroeder>	oops... I already closed it.
[12:40]	<ctalbert>	That's ok. It will teach the reporter to write better bug reports ;-)
[12:40]	<ssitter>	np
[12:40]	<bvdbos>	bug 351944 was also fixed afaik
[12:40]	<firebot>	bvdbos: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351944
nor, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, NEW, Printing has issues on Linux
[12:40]	<ssitter>	i think the error message is not related to the issue reported
[12:40]	<ctalbert>	that may be...
[12:41]	<ssitter>	needs retest according to Comment #10
[12:41]	<ctalbert>	bvdbos: have you tested 351944?
[12:41]	<ctalbert>	ssitter: Why does lilmatt think that this bug has fixed itself
(comment 10)
[12:42]	<bvdbos>	no yet, my linux-comp is down...
[12:42]	<ssitter>	I think he meant one of the other printing bugs
[12:43]	<ctalbert>	well, we need to re-test it anyway. So, I think we should leave
it as is. I'll try to boot my red hat box.
[12:43]	<ctalbert>	We're over our time limit here.
[12:44]	<ctalbert>	So, QA Chat has officially ended, but if folks want to keep discussing
QA Wanted, I'm all for it.
