[18:31] <mschroeder> Hi Andreas
[18:31] <Andreas> Hi mschroeder
[18:31] <mschroeder> ctalbert won't attend the QA chat today.
[18:32] <mschroeder> Andreas: Do you know if ulf will join us for the last time?
[18:32] <Andreas> Yes, I think so.
[18:32] <mschroeder> okay, the we'll wait.
[18:33] <Andreas> Do you have any test day results?
[18:33] <mschroeder> Andreas: You found a lot of bugs over the last days... good job. :)
[18:34] <mschroeder> Andreas: I have no concrete or detailed testday results.
[18:34] <Andreas> Yes, I spend some time to test the newest features
[18:37] <Andreas> I try to create new litmus testcases (conversion, agenda) after x-mas vacation.
[18:39] <mschroeder> That's great.
[18:40] <mschroeder> Should we wait another 5 minutes?
[18:40] <Andreas> Ok, we should 5 minutes.
[18:46] <mschroeder> Let's start the QA chat. Agenda is here: http://wiki.mozilla.org/Calendar:QA_Chat:2007-12-20
[18:46] <Andreas> Ok.
[18:48] <mschroeder> First, the testday results. It was a quiet testday which didn't attract many testers. Overall there were about 3 bugs filed as result of the testday.
[18:50] <mschroeder> I hope with updated Litmus testcases we get more attendees.
[18:52] <Andreas> Yes.
[18:53] <mschroeder> Next is the question when we should have our next testday.
[18:53] <mschroeder> I propose first or second week of January.
[18:53] <Andreas> I' m back from x-mas vacation at January 3rd.
[18:54] <Andreas> And Meckey
[18:54] <Andreas> Sorry...grrr
[18:54] <mschroeder> I thought, he'll be back on Jan 7th.
[18:54] <Andreas> And Mickey is back at January 8th.
[18:55] <mschroeder> Okay... then we should aim for Jan 10th.
[18:55] <Andreas> The most of my last written bugs are conversion bugs :-(
[18:56] <Andreas> Thats sounds better.
[18:56] <mschroeder> perfect.
[18:56] <Andreas> Then I have time to write some litmus testcases.
[18:56] <mschroeder> Yeah, there are a lot of problems and regression.
[18:58] <ulf> hi folks!
[18:58] <Andreas> Hi Ulf
[18:59] <mschroeder> Hi Ulf.
[19:00] <mschroeder> ulf: daniel told me you'll leave Calendar QA at the end of December. That's a pity. :(
[19:02] <ulf> mschroeder: yes, that's true. I'll be heading to a new project. Let me express my heart-felt thanks to everyone in #calendar and #calendar-qa. You guys are doing a tremendous job. I wish you all the best for calendar and its next releases. And I'm really looking forward to 1.0.
[19:05] <mschroeder> ulf: Thanks for your help, and I'll miss you as a supporter of our QA effort.
[19:05] <mschroeder> Next on the agenda: "in-testsuite" flag for Calendar component in Bugzilla
[19:06] <mschroeder> Similar to the in-litmus flag I want an in-testsuite flag for unit tests.
[19:06] <Andreas> Ah, okay.
[19:08] <mschroeder> It's easier to find possible bugs for unit tests, and developers only have to set the flag.
[19:08] <mschroeder> Maybe I'll try to write unit tests for older bugs after a triage.
[19:10] <mschroeder> We can skip "Post-0.7 activities". There is no news.
[19:11] <mschroeder> So, our next QA chat will be on Jan 3rd due to the holidays.
[19:13] <mschroeder> It was a successful Calendar QA year 2007, and I hope on our way to 1.0, we will have a great Calendar QA year 2008.
[19:13] <Andreas> +1
[19:15] <mschroeder> I think we'll need special QA session in 2008, but that's something for the next QA chat.
[19:16] <mschroeder> We have some qawanted and qa discussion need bugs that we should have a look at.
[19:18] <Andreas> And many unverifed bugs, too.
[19:18] <mschroeder> yep.
[19:18] <mschroeder> Anything to add?
[19:19] <daniel_> any idea about automated UI tests?
[19:19] <Andreas> nothing from my side.
[19:19] <daniel_> eggplant & CO?
[19:20] <mschroeder> we need an license to use eggplant... and I don't know if it is Mac-only.
[19:21] <mschroeder> I had a look at Selenium, but that's for Web applications only.
[19:23] <mschroeder> But I agree, automated UI testing is something we should look into in 2008.
[19:24] <mschroeder> Okay, then this is the end of the QA chat. Thanks for your help in 2007, and Merry Christmas! :)
[19:25] <Andreas> And a happy new year!
[19:25] <daniel_> +1 :)
[19:26] <ulf> Danke auch noch mal von mir für die vertrauensvolle und wie ich finde erfolgreiche Zusammenarbeit. Tschüss, macht's gut!
[19:26] <mschroeder> oh... and a happy new year! ;)
[19:27] <mschroeder> ulf: Kann ich nur zurückgeben. Tschüss Ulf! Viel Erfolg beim neuen Projekt! :)
[19:27] <ulf> mschroeder: Danke!
