<Andreas> Hi folks, should we start the qa-chat?
<mschroeder> yep
<mschroeder> Andreas: just do it. ;)
<Andreas> ok, first agenda topic 'Thunderbird integration'
<Andreas> Any news?
<mschroeder> nope
<mschroeder> not much progress
<mschroeder> Andreas: some patches in the pipeline you tested internally?
<Andreas> some minor ui patches from Berend.
<mschroeder> okay
<mschroeder> so, we have to wait for major UI changes
<Andreas> yes
<Andreas> Sould we talk about the current testday?
<Andreas> I checked how many test runs happend today -> 126
<mschroeder> hm... from how many different people?
<Andreas> two
<Andreas> I try to use Clints preconfigured thunderbird builds and the test eMail accounts
<Andreas> It is not possible for me to send invitations :-(
<mschroeder> hm... some prolem with the smtp server?
<Andreas> I read Clints 'work arounds for known bugs' but this doesn't help.
<mschroeder> we should keep that in mind, and discuss with ctalbert before the next testday.
<mschroeder> I was busy today, so I haven't used the integrated builds myself.
<ctalbert> Andreas: what happened when you tried it out?
<ctalbert> (to send invitations)
<Andreas> ctalbert: I got an error message - one moment
<Andreas> ctalbert: An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 5.7.1 <Andreas.Treumann@Sun.COM>: Relay access denied. Please check the message recipient Andreas.Treumann@Sun.COM and try again.
<ctalbert> Andreas: yes, that's the known issue with not being able send mail to non-test accounts. They can only send mail to other test accounts: test01, test02, etc
<ctalbert> We can't have wildly open test email accounts. Malware would jump on that and use them for spamming people
<Andreas> ctalbert: okay, thanks for this info.
<ctalbert> I'll make that more clear next time. The way to do that kind of testing would be to install two test accounts, like test04 and test05 and send the invitations to/from each of those
<ctalbert> hmmm but you'd need two thunderbirds too
<Andreas> Yes, thats okay. So I used today my sun account and the test02 account.
<ctalbert> I'll give this more thought for the next time we do this. I was going to write some litmus cases specifically for these test accounts but I ran out of time given the headaches I encountered getting them configured.
<Andreas> Next time I only use test0* accounts.
<ctalbert> I now have a set of scripts to configure and repackage them, I'll be attaching that to bug 467397 later today
<firebot> ctalbert: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=467397 enh, --, ---, nobody@mozilla.org, NEW, Make it easier for people to try Thunderbird without fear of losing existing data
<Andreas> mschroeder: next topic?
<mschroeder> sure
<mschroeder> the next testday should be discussed next week... the topic depends on what landed until then
<mschroeder> next topic: Too many UNCONFIRMED CalDAV bugs
<mschroeder> i haven't had time to improve the situation there
<Andreas> I hope I could spend some time next week - I think I need Daniels help.
<Andreas> Yesterday I try to verifiy one fixed Caldav bug reported by me. But sometimes I got no free/busy information :-(
<Fallen> ctalbert: I'm sure we can set up a mail server that only allows sending email to the local domain. If we want to be super spiffy we can automate periodically changing the password and putting the current password somewhere on the webserver
<ctalbert> Fallen: that's what these already do - only sending mail to the local domain. I don't know if they have password rotation in place though. That'd probably be a good idea too
<mschroeder> Andreas: I'll try to add some whiteboard info to the CalDAV bugs... problematic server, feature etc.
<Andreas> okay
<Andreas> next topic: Verifying fixed bugs for Sunbird & Lightning 1.0 qawanted bugs
<mschroeder> that are two topic ;)
<mschroeder> +s
<Andreas> Oh copy&paste error :-(
<mschroeder> hehe
<mschroeder> the bugs to verify count went down last week
<Andreas> yes, I started bug verifying in the last days.
<Andreas> And tomorrow again...
<mschroeder> great :)
<mschroeder> 67 bugs left
<mschroeder> i have to leave now
<Andreas> Ok
<Andreas> I will do my very best ;-)
<mschroeder> bye
<Andreas> Ok, than I think this is the end of the qa-chat.
<Andreas> anything else?
<Andreas> Ok, guys - see you next week and happy testing! Bye.
