  • Holidays! So I'll update what I did the week earlier, since I miss the last meeting:
  • ViewSource Berlin
    • Spoke there: "You might not need a CSS framework", very good feedback from people
    • HTML5 games booth, which was really exhausting (I was all by myself some shifts) and I shouldn't have committed to it in the first place since I was speaking too :(
  • CSS craftsmanship meetup

This coming week:

  • One year at Mozilla!!! :D I wrote a post at my blog https://belenalbeza.com/one-year-at-mozilla-as-a-remote-worker/
  • Expenses :(
  • Event feedback form for ViewSource + CSS Craftmanship BCN
  • (Friday) Salva and I will be on a uni in Madrid delivering a class at the game development degree
  • I'm attending Fronteers next week and was invited to do a lightning talk – so I need to prepare it.
  • Beginning of my press training
  • Got invited to participate in a development podcast about my role at Mozilla… hopefully press will give me clearance for that
  • Prepare materials for game dev classes

  • Organized travel and lodging for four upcoming events, including keynoting LCA in Australia next January
  • Prepped for talk tomorrow at the Minnesota Developer's Conference
  • Consulted with Jason Boch re: his talks on WebAssembly at Visual Studio Live.

Last week:

  • Bubble: recreated the image, logged detailed steps, for the London Design Festival
  • Lots of Mozfest stuff
  • Hosted the PDX R User Group in the office
  • Coordinating hardware sponsorship for PDX Science Hack Day, and doing a lightning talk during the event kickoff
  • More work on the University of Pune proposal for the new IoT lab there.
  • Forked Magnet and hacked it for Mozfestation, our Bluetooth beacon game for Mozfest. Ideas are viral… gotta catch em all!

    • Was less corporatish than expected, seen some really fine talks even!

Last week:

  • PTO in Southern Spain. Great adventures and surprises, including getting my camera stolen with a cardful of best ever photos from Madrid and Granada. Meeting my BF's family in Granada! Now, total jetlag. Hotter here than Berlin or Granada.
  • Uploaded, labeled and distributed all the Tech Speaker videos from Berlin (Luckily I'd downloaded that card before leaving Berlin)

This coming week:

  • back from Berlin and PTO, getting caught up on Tech Speakers business, and back to speed on Hacks calendar, org change, etc.
  • Send out Phase 2 Summer Pilot survey to all participating tech speakers.
  • Review the CFP submissions 'homework for all the Phase 2 tech speakers.
  • Meet Ryan Pollock, new Platform Product mktg guy
  • Next steps for TS program, planning next iteration of Phase 2 for Q1 2017.

  • This tweet has been retweeted a lot https://twitter.com/supersole/status/778529426103496704 - people like the clear content and advice (I just posted the image and the link to the post). People want to do good, but have no idea how, way too often.
  • Brought laptop to 'genius bar' as my SPACE BAR is failing. Sometimes only o_o. I should type less furiously maybe.
