Theme of Firefox 3

As you may know, every Firefox release has a code name from major parks around the world. Gran Paradiso, (Great Paradise), “evokes images of travel from an earlier, more glamorous era so we decided to center our campaign around a vintage travel theme”.

The beautiful art created by poster designer, Steve Forney, pictures a beautiful Mediterranean landscape and a plane flowing above carrying a Firefox 3 banner.

About Gran Paradiso

Parco Nazionale del Gran Paradiso was the first national park established in Italy. It includes a large territory of high mountains, from the 800 meters of the bottom of the valleys to the 4,061 meters of the Gran Paradiso peak. Larch and fir woods, wide alpine grasslands, rocks, and glaciers make up an ideal scenery for the life of a rich and various fauna and for a visit leading to the discovery of the wonderful world of the high mountains. Gran Paradiso is the only mountain exceeding 4000 meters elevation that is completely within the Italian territory. Other mountains whose elevation exceeds 4000 meters are on the boundary between Italy and France (Monte Bianco) and Switzerland (Monte Cervino or Matterhorn and Monte Rosa).

Important note: I had to lower the resolution on this file a bit because the full-size version exceeded the wiki's maximum file size limits. It should be fine for casual printing, but if you are planning on doing a large run please email jslater@mozilla.com to get the full-size file.
