Welcome to the TCP Quickstart Guide

Here's what you need to get started:

Flash your tablet to the latest good build

  1. Before you flash your device to the latest version of Firefox OS, you should make sure that the builds work. You can check the build status here. Note the build date of the latest build marked 'GOOD'.
  2. Go to the dropbox page and download the latest 'GOOD' build.
  3. Follow the Flashing instructions to flash your tablet.

Run smoketests

We have a set of simple tests to check if the tablet's basic functions are working correctly. Ideally, we'd have several people every day running these tests and reporting any failures to Bugzilla. The sooner we can report any regressions, the more likely it is we'll get Mozilla developer help to unregress. You can also save your fellow TCP contributors from some pain by identifying severely broken builds and alerting the rest of the program so they know to skip that build. Start smoketesting today! at the smoke tests wiki page.

Create a Bugzilla account (if you don't have one)

So much happens in Bugzilla. Bugzilla is where we report bugs and feature requests. If you don't already have an account, you can sign up for one here. If you're new to Bugzilla, you may want to join us for one of our regular [Test Days] where experienced people are waiting to help you learn to navigate Bugzilla.

You can find all of the open tablet bugs here
