What's a bug in Mozilla Localizations?

  • You're using a localized version of Firefox or Thunderbird, or one of the other projects.
  • You have found
    • a spelling mistake
    • a grammar error
    • a non-translated string
    • a better translation for a term

If you're finding these, the volunteer teams working on the localizations would like to hear about those. We'd appreciate if you could enter your bug report in English language. Mozilla is a cooperative effort, and at some point in fixing your report, there may be people involved not speaking your native language. If that's a problem, consider looking at the project site of your localization team for feedback channels in your language. If that doesn't work, just go ahead.

What's not a bug for Mozilla Localizations?

  • You're having a problem with a webpage in your native language. The Report Broken Web Site... to be found in the Help menu is the right place to submit those.
  • You have a language independent bug report, a crash, or something like that. Please use the appropriate Product and Component in Bugzilla, regardless of the language that your application is in.
  • You want to submit a bug report in your native language. Sorry, but the common language to the Mozilla developers is English, bug reports in other languages cannot be worked on. If the localization team for your language offers a feedback channel, you may want to submit your problem there, and find someone to help communicating that problem to the developers here.
