Goals
- To increase the number of users using sync
- To achieve better user satisfaction through a seamless start-up and customisation path
Specifications
- Sets up sync
- Sets up default search engine (if applicable via locale)
- Confirms locale used
- Asks if the user wants to add any add-ons
- Sets up master password if a user wishes Firefox to remember passwords
- Can import bookmarks if desired
User stories
- As a user, I want to set up 'sync' easily and intuitively when I launch Fx for the first time, so I don't have to figure out how to set it up at a later point in time
- As a user, I want to easily change my browser preferences when I launch Fx for the first time, so I don't have to figure out how to do it later (and so I also know what settings I can change)
- As a user, introduces me to the concept of Add-Ons and directs me to the AMO if I so wish at the end of the setup process, so that I know what an add-on is and some add-ons that are available to me
