Stage 1: Definition

1. Feature overview

Right now we have the ability to specify that multiple files can be uploaded via our input file control. But people have asked for the ability to specify a directory to be uploaded, and that the resulting upload maintains the inner directory structure.

That is, that if you upload a directory x, and that directory contains x/y/a.gif and x/y/b.gif, that you can see y/a.gif and y/b.gif.

2. Users & use cases

A user wants to upload an entire directory to box.net. That user clicks on the upload button on the web site picks a directory of files to upload. When the dialog closes, the user sees a set a progress bar that shows both file upload progress and the overall progress.

(This implies both per-file access and overall-size progress.)
