3.6b1 Test Plan

Top Add-ons and Plugins Testing Results

Spot check that the top addons and plugins can be installed and that they are functional across supported platforms.

Late-breaking news: We've developed an add-on that allows users to provide feedback regarding add-on compatibility with alpha and beta releases. You can use this to let us know if your favorite add-ons are working as expected. Check it out. Install it prior to your testing in this section - Add-on Compatibility Reporter

If you file a bug, please add "[3.6b1]" without the quotes on the Whiteboard field so we can query the bugs filed during this testing cycle.

Add-ons Testing Results (tchung; gmontagu)

Check AMO for a list of the most popular extensions (not only those compatible with 3.6).

  • Gmontagu
    • Notes: I performed all tests on Windows XP. I previously installed the Add-on Compatibility Reporter and then I've tested Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flashgot, Download Statusbar, Stylish, GMail Notifier, SpeedDial, WOT, WebMail Notifier, Integrated Gmail, Read it Later, Tree Style Tab and Session Manager. They all work fine. Several are supposedly compatible with 3.6 but once installed they actually aren't. Session Manager is supposedly compatible with 3.7a1pre: "Works with Firefox: 3.0 – 3.7a1pre" but once installed it wasn't even compatible with 3.6b1! But it worked fine all the same.
