Public Transportation

The office is located walking distance from almost everywhere we discussed going. Here's some general info about public transit in Toronto:

The in city public transit is called the TTC and is a network of buses, subways and streetcars. Fares are based on trip, not time, and there is only one fare zone. Transit directions are available via Google Maps.

  • Cash fare is $3.00 for a single trip
  • Multiple tokens are sold at a discounted rate of $2.60, eg 3 tokens are $7.80
  • Day passes are available for $10.50 and on Saturday and Sunday two adults can use a single day pass (slightly more expensive than 4 tokens)
  • Be sure to get a transfer just in case when paying with a single fare (as opposed to a day pass)
    • In stations red machines dispense transfers, on buses and streetcars you ask the driver to give you one
