OSE is gone
</imagemap>
Eudora OSE is was an email client that combines Mozilla's combined with Thunderbird with 's code, features, and GUI elements from Qualcomm's Eudora. See the home page for more information. == Eudora OSE 1.0 == The first release of Eudora and OSEno longer exist, version 1.0 (which includes the Penelope extension) nor is now available for download. Use the links below to download. Please see the README for information on how to submit bug reports and new feature requests. * <del>support.0.en-US.win32.installer.exe Windows installer </del>* <del>Users might instead try Mac disk image </del>* <del>Linux tar file </del>* <del>README </del> All of these links simply redirect to https://www.qualcommgetthunderbird.com/ so we must assume that qualcomm no longer distribute the installers. Eudora OSE 1.0 is based on the Thunderbird 3.0.4 source code, so add-ons that do not work with Thunderbird 3.0.4 likely will not work with this version. === Installation Note === Windows users upgrading from Penelope 0.1a19 have things pretty easy, but there's an extra step: uninstall Thunderbird, install Eudora OSE, start Eudora, go into the Tools/Add-ons menu item and uninstall Penelope a19. Upon restarting Eudora the version of Penelope that came with it will automatically be reinstalled. NOTE: many add-ons that worked with Eudora beta 1 won't work with beta 2 (or later, as of 2/8/08). It's a smart idea to do a full backup of all your mailboxes and preferences files before doing the upgrade, as "in place" upgrades may have problems. == Support ==For user-based support of Eudora OSE please go <del>to: http://eudorabb.qualcomm.com/forumdisplay.php?f=29 </del> There is no knows OSE support forum. Mozilla does not provide support for Eudora OSE or the Penelope add-on. Mac Eudora OSE users, please see <del> http://www.eudora.com/faq/OSX_Lion.html </del> for important information about Mac Eudora and OS X Lion. This applies to the Mac Eudora importers inside Eudora OSE as well as the Classic Mac Eudora].
