Firefox 4 for Mobile

• Beta 1 is out (10/7/10)
  • An update is needed to the installation article
  • An update to the sync article is needed
  • There are a number of pages that link directly to the support forum or having confusing link names that need to be corrected.
• Beta 2 is scheduled to be code freeze/UI complete/feature complete on 10/19 and to ship by 10/26 Sometime early Nov.
  • Beta 2 has a new UI and will need all new screenshots and some changes to the text.
  • Localizers need a better way to make screenshots - maybe a localized build + a photoshop mockup of each language keyboard or localized versions that run in the Android simulator.
• Beta 3 - code freeze Nov 23, ship Dec 7.

Firefox Home

• Ragavan says Symbian and Blackberry versions of Firefox Home will not likely happen in Q4 (they don't even have a developer yet).
• 1.0.3 has the fix for Sync 1.5 - submitted to app store 10/7/10
  • Need emergency additions to docs because 1.0.2 is not compatible with Sync 1.5
  • Update to setup article is needed (for sync 1.5)
• 1.0.4 is in the works - no ship date yet. Should not take long.
  • 1.0.4 will add username and password sync which will require updates to multiple docs. Will add the ability to have links open in iOS native apps - Safari, YouTube, etc.

Firefox Sync

• The Sync add-on 1.5 is out (10/7/10)
  • Updates to the sync articles and screenshots are needed.
  • Needs emergency update for Fx4 Beta users.
• Firefox Sync setup and UI is changing. Waiting on this for all sync updates.
