AJ, or someone, could you give us green horns a rundown on QA, please? L2 06:24, 30 Mar 2005 (PST)

What is triage, exactly?

And Triage Bugs is (i think) selecting the unconfirmed Bugreports into confirmed, WFM, invalid and so on --Tomcat 14:14, 30 Mar 2005 (PST)
Right. In general, triage is making sure open bugs are valid and have enough information for developers to fix. We usually have to also go through NEW bugs as many bugs wind up in the wrong component or get submitted as NEW when they should be UNCONFIRMED. And sometimes we have to go back through old reports and see if the bugs still are still problems. Ajschult 21:18, 31 Mar 2005 (PST)

I gather that a smoke test is a precise series of steps to check a build.

Exactly. They're designed to make sure builds are at least usable for developers and QA members. This role has always been fulfilled by Netscape and then Mozilla Foundation employees, so we're looking for new people to run through the tests. If you can use the suite, you can help out with smoketests! Ajschult 21:18, 31 Mar 2005 (PST)

What is a bug day?

There is a good Page explaining what Bugday is http://bugday.moznetwork.org/ its about confirming unconfirmed bugs :-)--Tomcat 14:14, 30 Mar 2005 (PST)

Are results entered in bugzilla?

Results of what? I think the answer is yes.  :) Bugs discovered during smoketests are entering in bugzilla. And the point of bug day is to accomplish something in bugzilla.
